This month’s InnerMost Mixer will explore the theme psychedelics and substance use disorders. We’re honored to welcome Andrew Tatarsky, PhD, for a conversation examining how harm reduction psychotherapy can be integrated with emerging psychedelic approaches.
Dr. Tatarsky is a clinical psychologist, internationally recognized leader in the treatment of substance use disorders, and the developer of Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy (IHRP)—a compassionate, evidence-informed approach that meets individuals where they are and supports meaningful change without shame or coercion.
With over four decades of experience as a clinician, educator, and advocate, his work integrates relational psychoanalysis, CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care within a harm reduction framework—offering a more flexible and human-centered alternative to traditional abstinence-only models.
