About Event

Grief isn’t reserved solely for the end of a life; it is the constant companion of change. Whether you are walking away from a community or had a breakup with a friend, this circle welcomes the grief from such changes. Grief from having to leave a space that you called home is hard. Sometimes it's by choice and other times it's not. This can also change the way you expereince your grief. The same can be said for friendships. When we have to let go of a freind because we have outgrown them, or resolution wasn't able to be reached in a conflict. It is hard.

When we think of relationships that end, it's not often friendships that we think of first. Friends are "suposed" to last. They aren't "supposed" to end abrublty. If anything we just drift apart over time. These can be the thoughts we have around friendships and it can be very jarring when we go through a breakup with a friend that feels just as heart breaking and disspaointing as a romantic relationship.

In this second session of our series, we explore grief related to friendhsips and community. We often expect ourselves to move straight into "what’s next" without acknowledging what we’ve left behind. This is a space to pause, reflect on how grief has consistently shown up in your story, and begin to reshape your relationship with it.

We’ll move through the evening with a blend of depth and a bit of playfulness, featuring:

  • Guided Meditation: In this section, we’ll be supported by a dark goddess that fits the theme, and through her story, you might find messages or see parts of yourself reflected.

  • Reflective Sharing: A look at how we were taught to grieve and how those patterns show up today.

  • Creative Expression: This is where we get to have fun with grief. An invitation to get to know it and move it out of your body into a place of playful/creative connection.

  • Energy Grounding: Closing with an energetic grounding experience to integrate the evening’s shifts.

Whether you are navigating a recent friendship breakup or had to change communities, you and your grief are welcome here.
