​Aalto Bitcoin invites you to our first event: What is Bitcoin – The Evolution of Money & Bitcoin as an Asset Class. No prior knowledge is needed – just bring your curiosity!

​The evening features two insightful talks: Thomas Brand (Head of Institutional Sales & Research at Coinmotion) traces the history of money, from barter and gold to paper currencies and digital forms, showing why Bitcoin exists and the problems it aims to solve. Tuomas Tuominen explores Bitcoin as an asset class, highlighting what makes it unique and why it has captured global attention.

​After the talks, both speakers join a panel discussion, giving you a chance to ask questions and connect the dots between money’s past, present, and Bitcoin’s potential future.

​Thomas Brand
Thomas Brand is the Head of Institutional Sales and Research at Coinmotion, Finland’s leading digital asset platform. With a background in management consulting at Accenture, he specializes in bridging traditional finance with the digital asset ecosystem. At our event, Thomas will trace the history and evolution of money, from barter and gold to digital currencies, explaining why Bitcoin exists and the problems it aims to solve.

​Tuomas Tuominen
Tuomas Tuominen is a passionate investor and lately his focus has been on Bitcoin. He also works as an Investment Coach at Nordnet and is featured in Nordnet's Traders’ Club series and in the Nordnet School educational videos, where he tackles all kinds of investment topics. His role is to coach clients, helping them begin saving and investing while also assisting them in advancing their expertise in investment strategies and different investment products.
