Beyond Vibe Coding: Let's Build A Native Mobile App
So, you want to create a native app, eh?
Yes, let's do it. GPS ✅. Camera ✅. Accelerometer / gyroscope ✅ ✅.
Building things for mobile gives us great powers, but also a little bit more complexity. So let's walk through some of the basics together. 🙌
What will we be using?
We'll be building with React Native through Expo. This enables us to launch apps for both iOS and Android with the same codebase. Win.
Expo also makes it easy to test apps directly on our phones while we are developing them.
How this workshop will work.
First, I'll (hi, it's me Jeff) will give a quick intro to mobile app development.
Then, I'll get you and your agent(s) set up to build.
Finally, I'll give you some fun prompts for mobile app ideas to try building and you'll have time to build on your own.
It's kinda like a quick workshop + a mini-hackathon. It's fun. You'll learn something new. Annnnnd importantly, you get to hang out with other fun people building cool stuff.

6:45pm: Everyone has time to build.
8:15pm: Demo time.
8:30pm: We start heading home.
Do you need to be super technical?
Some vibe coding experience is helpful. But, I try to make these as approachable as possible. Even if this will be your first app ever made, as long as you come with a curiosity to learn, you'll come away with something.
Ahead of the event, I'll share some getting started guides to ensure you are all set up when the event starts.
