My Future Self's Social Impact
Welcome to another in person gathering of 🌱 The Bloom Community - Lisbon Chapter.
As we begin a new year, let’s think together about:
- the kind of positive social impact you would like to create in the world
- how you can start or amplify this journey
- the connections, partnerships, or resource exchanges among the participants in the room that could help us achieve our goals
This free, 2-hour workshop will be facilitated by Thays Prado, founder of Feminist Futures, and will use some futures and foresight methods.
It will be an opportunity to increase your futures literacy, reflect on concrete steps you can take in your social impact journey, and meet new people with aligned values.
The workshop will last 90 min followed by 30 min of networking.
Please arrive 10 min before the time so we can start at 15h promptly.

About the Hosts
Thays Prado
I am a feminist futurist filmmaker. Founder of Feminist Futures, I have worked with women and girls from over 35 countries using the power of storytelling and film to envision the futures they want to see come true – for themselves, their communities, and the world – and influence policy changes and societal transformations. A 2023 NGFP Fellow, School of International Futures alumni, Vice-President of the Foresight Europe Network, and co-founder of Women Who Future(s). I hold a master’s degree in Gender, Media, and Culture from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Professional Screenwriting degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism from the University of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. For 18 years, I have worked with various UN agencies (UN Women, UNHCR, UN Global Compact, UNICEF, UNFCCC, and UNITAR), international NGOs (BBC Media Action, Plan International, and the Centre for Sport and Human Rights) and feminist funds (Urgent Action Fund, Feminist Dream Space, Women Win) to foster global impact.
