Talk Title: Between the Museum and Zomato
Speaker Bio:
My design journey began at the National Institute of Design (NID) and took shape through my work as an Associate Design Manager at the Indigo Art Museum, where I collaborated with artisans and worked hands-on with product development. Designing with physical materials and within real-world constraints taught me that good design is rarely linear, it requires curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to find clarity amid complexity.
Today, I bring that perspective into digital product design. I approach interfaces through the lens of a craftsperson, paying close attention to the details that shape how people experience a product, from intuitive interactions to the subtle moments that make technology feel thoughtful and human. Drawing from both traditional craft systems and modern UI/UX, I'm interested in creating digital experiences that balance function with care, simplicity with depth, and innovation with intention.

Manish Ahluwalia is an accomplished UX professional and design leader with experience in building user-centred design practices, driving innovation, and enabling teams to create meaningful digital experiences. He has a proven track record of partnering with stakeholders and customers, conducting interviews, facilitating design-thinking workshops, and translating business objectives into user-focused solutions.
With a strong focus on customer validation and usability, Manish helps teams create experiences that not only meet but exceed user expectations. His expertise spans UX strategy, interaction and interface design, UX maturity, design collaboration, and the end-to-end design lifecycle from discovery and ideation to validation, delivery, and handoff.
Passionate about developing people and design culture, he actively mentors and coaches UX designers, facilitates knowledge-sharing, and promotes a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and improvement.
