​We're excited to invite you to The Upskilling AI Game — a joint meetup hosted by IechPros x Data Science Rotterdam, supported by Women in Tech Rotterdam.

​AI and GenAI are rewriting what skills matter — faster than degrees, bootcamps, or training programs can keep up. So how do you actually decide what to learn, or where to point your career, when the target keeps moving? We're bringing academia and industry into the same room to help you navigate that question — not just debate it.

​Talk: Vikram Mark Radhakrishnan (The Hague University of Applied Sciences) — The generation of Gen AI: what skills must students learn in an age of AI

​Vikram is a lecturer in Applied Data Science & AI at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. He has a background in electrical engineering and astronomy and is completing his PhD in instrumentation for large optical telescopes. He holds certifications from Nvidia, Google and Databricks, and is a certified instructor for Nvidia's Deep Learning Institute. Vikram also organizes The Hague AI, the largest AI-themed meetup group in Zuid-Holland.

​Panel discussion: When AI keeps moving the target, who do you trust to tell you what's worth learning?

​Four voices, split across academia and industry, on-purpose — because the useful answer here isn't consensus, it's the friction between how a university thinks about skills and how an employer does.

​Moderated by Dimitrios Gontzes, Principal Data Scientist at Cognizant.

​Daniel Kapitan (EAISI Fellow, Jheronimus Academy of Data Science) — 20+ years as a data scientist, business architect and strategic advisor across industry and non-profit. At EAISI he teaches postgraduate and professional education courses, supports TU/e researchers applying machine learning in their own fields, and initiates public-private partnerships in healthcare. His path ran from a PhD in Physics at Oxford, through telecoms strategy consulting and a decade at T-Mobile, to co-founding a healthcare analytics start-up — before returning to teaching, advising and applied research focused on making AI more trustworthy and democratic.

​Fleur Prince (Community Manager Data Science & AI, Politie Nederland) — founder and co-host of the AI Insights podcast. She previously grew the Kickstart AI community to 7,500+ members across 500 organizations, and has organized 30+ tech meetups and built 40+ AI-sector partnerships. Nominated for Diversity Leader in AI (2023) and AI Leader (2024), and named AI Leader of the Year at the Women in Tech Global Awards (2024). Fluent in English, Dutch and French, she volunteers with Women in AI Benelux.

​Milly McDonald (Manager, Organisational Change Management, Cognizant) — specializes in technology and AI adoption, having led workforce adoption and capability-uplift programmes across life sciences, healthcare and the public sector. Co-author of Cognizant's AI Governance Workforce Enablement offering and OCM AI Playbook, her focus is helping organizations build the mindsets and skills for responsible AI to actually stick — not just tick a compliance box.
