Join the Guelph Black Heritage Society for a meaningful journey through the history, culture, resilience, and living legacy of Black communities in Nova Scotia.
From the vibrant city of Halifax to the historic Africville and Birchtown to the rich community of North Preston, this experience offers an opportunity to connect with stories that have shaped Canada for generations.
Over seven days, participants will explore important heritage sites, engage with community members, learn about Black Loyalist history, discover the legacy of Viola Desmond, and experience the beauty of Nova Scotia's coastline.
This is more than a sightseeing trip. It is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Black Canadian history while building connections with fellow travelers and communities whose stories continue to inspire today.

• 6 nights accommodation in a premium waterfront hotel downtown Halifax (double occupancy)
• Group airport transfers between Halifax Stanfield International Airport and the group hotel for participants arriving and departing on the recommended flight dates (July 23 arrival and July 29 return).

Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations received on or before October 31, 2026: Full refund less non-recoverable payment processing and refund fees (this might include stripe fees, interac transfer fees among others etc)
• Cancellations received between November 1, 2026 and January 31, 2027: Deposit refunded less a $250 administrative fee plus non-recoverable payment processing and refund fees (this might include stripe fees, interac transfer fees among others etc)
• Beginning February 1, 2027, deposits become non-refundable.
• Registrations may be transferred to another eligible participant.
