Join us for an exclusive expedition to GIFT City (Gandhinagar) - India's central business district of tomorrow. Unveil the potential of this futuristic urban development project in the company of industry leaders and visionaries.

Organised by PHDCCI and EDGE Community as an official GIFT CITY EXPEDITION in partnership with GIFT CITY.

GIFT IFSC was ranked 3rd among the 15 centers globally that will become more significant in few years by Global Financial Center Index, London in 2019. (Know more about GIFT City)

The expedition will bring together leading minds in policy, business, and technology to explore and chart the next phase of growth for the global FinTech industry.

Attendance is open to: Founders, Investors, Industry leaders, Directors & Senior Management that has a keen interest in partnering with GIFT City.

Only participants with complete forms/profiles will be considered by the shortlisting team. Incomplete profiles will not be considered.

Q: What is the GIFT CITY Expedition?
A: This is an exclusive expedition to GIFT City, Gandhinagar, showcasing India's futuristic central business district. It provides attendees the chance to understand this urban development project in the presence of industry leaders.

Participants will be joining in from across India, USA, Singapore, Dubai, Japan, Sri Lanka, and a few other countries. Approval to attend this expedition is only on an invitation basis from PHDCCI and EDGE Community.

Q: Who is behind the organization of the event and how can I contact them?
A: The event is a collaborative effort by PHDCCI and EDGE Community, officially in partnership with GIFT CITY. The GIFT City team has put together a comprehensive conference and expedition to provide a deeper insight into GIFT City.

Q: What is the date and location for the expedition?
A: The expedition is set for Tuesday, 22nd August, 2023. We request participants to arrive at the venue (Grand Mercure) in GIFT City no later than 10am.

Q: What is the venue for the event?
A: The venue for the event is Grand Mercure Hotel, GIFT City.

Q: Do I need to pay a fee to participate?
A: No, participation is free of charge. However, attendees are selected based on certain criteria.

Q: How is the day planned out?
A: The day is divided into two segments:

Part 1: A conference featuring discussions with key stakeholders from GIFT City.

Part 2: Guided tours to essential regulator offices. Please note, seats for the tours are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q: What time does the event start and end?
A: The event starts at 10 AM with participants assembling at the venue. Throughout the day, there will be expert-led talk sessions and presentations by GIFT City teams. A lunch break is also scheduled.

After lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to take guided tours of select GIFT City locations. The event is expected to wrap up by 6:00 PM.

Q: How do I reserve a place for the event?
A: Please complete the RSVP form by 19th August, 2023. Given that seating is limited, attendees will be chosen based on a selection process.

If you are selected, you will be notified via email.

Q: What will be discussed during the event?
A: The discussions will cover a range of topics including the concept of reverse flipping, opportunities bridging India and Singapore, the process of direct listings on exchanges, participation of global funds via GIFT, and operational aspects of GIFT City.

Further topics include recent advancements in the financial and tech sectors within GIFT City, future plans and projects, and direct interactions with top management. Insights from leading bureaucrats and technocrats will also be featured.

Q: What are the travel options to reach GIFT City?
A: By Air: The nearest airport is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, located roughly 30 minutes away by car.

By Rail: If you're arriving by train, the Gandhinagar Railway Station is your closest stop, and it's just a 25-minute drive to GIFT City.

By Road: For those driving, the following location pin for the Grand Mercure Hotel can be used as a reference point.

Q: What are the transportation options from the Airport/Railway station to GIFT City?
A: For direct and hassle-free travel, you can opt for Uber or Ola cabs. Additionally, there are frequent buses that ply this route. It's advisable to check public transport schedules in advance to ensure smooth transit.

Attendees will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from GIFT City.

Q: How can participants manage travel and accommodation during the GIFT City expedition?
A: Attendees will be responsible for arranging their own travel to and from GIFT City, as well as any accommodation requirements for the event day.

While at the venue, we will facilitate transportation for the tour within GIFT City. Post the tour, attendees will need to manage their own transportation and meetings.

Q: Can I bring a guest or transfer my invite to someone else?
A: Invitations are specifically for ONE ATTENDEE per invite. Regrettably, the invite cannot be transferred or cancelled. Attendees cancelling 7 days before the event will be liable to pay a cancellation fee.

Q: Where would you suggest I stay?
A: For accommodations within GIFT City, you can consider the Grand Mercure or the GIFT City Club by Radisson.

If you're looking to stay within Ahmedabad, options include Novotel, Leela Palace, and Marriott. Please note that Ahmedabad offers a wider range of amenities and is approximately 30 minutes away from GIFT City.

Regardless of your choice, attendees are responsible for arranging and bearing the costs of their own accommodation.
