Haunted Reality: Women Who Build | Give(a)Go Germany

Give(a)Go is bringing Women Who Build to Heilbronn for a special Halloween edition: Zero to AR: Haunted Reality.

Give(a)Go is a community of builders, hackers, and tinkerers originating from Ireland that runs hands-on workshops and builder days centered around one core principle: learning by building.

Women Who Build is our builder day dedicated to women of every experience level, welcoming anyone from first-timers who have never written a line of code to experienced creators already shipping projects.

This is not a competition. There are no judges, no pitch decks, and no scoring rubrics. The only goal is to pick an idea, make something real, and share what you made with a supportive room of builders.

Why AR?

Augmented reality overlays the digital world onto the physical one through your camera lens. A regular camera shows the world as it is; an AR camera shows the world plus whatever you dream up.

With Halloween just one week away, everything we build today will be a little bit spooky. Expect face filters, posters that come alive when scanned, and motion-controlled mini-games. 👻

The Three Tracks

Track 1: Lens Lab -- Beginner, no code. Build your own Halloween Snapchat Lens and wear it on your face.

Track 2: Haunted Posters -- Intermediate. Make a printed poster come alive when scanned with any phone browser.

Track 3: AR Game Challenge -- Advanced, real code. Build a Halloween game controlled with your head, with a score and a timer.

What to Expect on the Day
