(FREE) Climate Confessional with Eric Wilburn
Join our monthly Climate Confessionals, where we talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly of being a sustainability creative.
Join us for a conversation with Eric Wilburn, Program Officer at Bezos Earth Fund. We will be talking about the art of living a good life as a climate professional, and the ups and downs that come along with it. Specifically, we will dive into:
How to figure out where to put your energy when everything feels urgent
What it actually looks like to build real connection and community in your everyday life
How to navigate the tension between wanting to change the world—and just trying to be okay as a human in it
We wanted to talk about this with our community because people often join us to learn more about the lives of climate professionals. From the outside, it can look like leaders in this space have it all figured out.
But the truth is, there’s so much behind our career journeys. Our stories shape who we are, and most of us are navigating way more behind the scenes. Sometimes we need to move because our partner is fulfilling their dreams. Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom. We can suffer a lot before we reach an "aha" moment where we can pick ourselves up again.
And right now, many of us are navigating these challenges. It feels harder than ever to know how to show up, where to put our energy, and how to stay connected in a world that feels increasingly disconnected.
So this conversation is about that.
This isn’t just a conversation about climate careers.
It’s a conversation about how to live, how to tinker with your career, and build deep relationships along the way.
We can't wait to dive in!
