Library Read & Share
"Read something that interests you. Everyone shares their discovery. An introvert-friendly, calm gathering."
Library Read & Share is a relaxed, two-hour gathering that combines quiet reading with thoughtful conversation in a calm, low-pressure environment.
For the first hour, everyone reads independently. Bring something from home or browse the library shelves when you arrive. You're welcome to read almost anything that interests you—fiction, non-fiction, manga, magazines, newspapers, research papers, essays, manuals, or any other general-audience reading material.
During the second hour, everyone is invited to share something that stood out to them. It doesn't have to be a presentation or book report—just an interesting idea, story, question, or insight that caught your attention.
Bring your niche interests! Whether you're into history, fantasy, biology, psychology, science, cooking, fashion, philosophy, or something wonderfully unexpected, every person brings a different perspective. By the end of the event, you'll have discovered a wide variety of ideas while connecting with other curious people through a shared love of learning.
Whether you're looking for dedicated reading time, meaningful conversation, or simply a peaceful way to spend an afternoon, you're welcome here.

About the Host
Hi, I'm Harrison. I'm passionate about creating welcoming community spaces where people can slow down, explore their interests, and connect with others. My background is in Social Work, community development, and many years of hosting board game socials. I've also explored practices like Tai Chi, Thai Massage, Tantra, authentic relating, improv, and other humanities-based approaches that have shaped how I design calm, inclusive events.
This isn't a board game social, but click here for a short article about my journey and how important bringing people together is for me.
