AI in Financial Services — Community Consultation Series
Women in AI Bermuda presents: AI in Financial Services — Community Consultation Series
Join us for Part 1 of our five-part Lunch & Learn series as we unpack the Bermuda Monetary Authority’s Consultation Paper: Guidance Note — The Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Bermuda’s Financial Services Sector. The BMA published the consultation on 14 August 2026, creating an important opportunity for Bermuda’s community to engage with the proposed guidance.[bma]
Part 1: What Are We Doing?
In this first session, Women in AI Bermuda will begin breaking down the paper in clear, practical language. Together, we will examine:
The scope and purpose of the proposed guidance
Key AI-related definitions and why they matter
Which firms, activities, and stakeholders may be covered
The financial-sector AI uses the public should understand first
Areas where the guidance may be unclear or difficult to apply for smaller firms, third-party vendors, and consumers
This is a constructive community conversation—not a lecture. It is an opportunity to bring your professional insight, lived experience, questions, and concerns into a space focused on responsible, inclusive, and accountable AI in Bermuda.
Whether you work in financial services, technology, compliance, law, policy, education, or simply want to understand how AI may shape services and decisions that affect people, your voice is welcome.
Come ready to learn, question, and help identify the details that matter before the consultation deadline.
