HSBIR Info Session

​Please join us for this info session to learn about the Federal SBIR/STTR program as well as the state's HSBIR support and matching grant program. Applications for the Phase I and Phase 0 grants open October 23, 2026 and close December 11, 2026.

​The Hawaiʻi Small Business Innovation Research Program (HSBIR) provides matching grants to help companies further develop new products to solve critical issues. Please note: Applicants must have received federal a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award to qualify for the state matching grant program. The HSBIR programs provides up to 50% match for companies receiving Phase I SBIR/STTR awards, up to $75,000, whichever is less. The HSBIR program also reimburses up to $3,000 for professional proposal assistance for first time SBIR/STTR applicants.
