Passion Presentations: Folklore
Event Description
Passion Presentations is a monthly event series that provides a platform for people to share their passions with the world. Each month features a unique theme and supports a different charitable organization, with 50% of event profits donated directly to a cause aligned with that month's topic. The event is comprised of a few 5-10 minute presentations, followed by refreshments and mingling in the cafe.
October's theme is folklore and we will be donating to Community Folk Art Council (CFAC)
Each presenter receives a complimentary drink ticket, a small gift bag, and an honorarium as a thank you for participating ♥️
About Kithship
Kithship is a social wellness club created for those looking to make space within their busy schedules to tend to themselves; their wellbeing, growth, and community. Kithship aims to feel like a playdate with your inner child, inspiring feelings of curiousity, comfort, and community.
About Our Non-Profit Partner
Founded by ethnic Toronto community leaders in 1964, the Community Folk Art Council (CFAC) was established to support folk and community-based artists in the city whose practices are rooted in cultural heritage, lived experience, and community storytelling. Bringing together community groups to learn about each other’s cultures, ensuring the transmission of those cultures to the next generations and broadcasting this intangible culture to a wider public is the remit of CFAC.
Through collaborative programming, partnerships, and artist support initiatives, CFAC strengthens the capacity of artists while fostering inclusive cultural participation across Toronto.
