Waka Night Lagos
Waka is a Singapore-based payments company with its team and operations rooted in Africa.
On the evening of September 22, Waka will host Waka Night: Lagos—a small, in-person conversation about the realities of Africa’s cross-border payments market: which opportunities are already real, where execution remains difficult, and what it takes to build reliable operations across markets.
The session will be led by April Long, Co-founder and CEO of Waka. Before founding Waka, April worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Africa, Gulf African Bank—an IFC-invested bank—and venture-backed African payments startups.
We hope to meet payments professionals, founders, investors, and potential partners in Nigeria who are genuinely interested in Africa, cross-border commerce, and emerging markets.
