the dirty secrets of clothing supply chains (dinner, expert Q&A, & mini-doc screening)
Make friends who care about stuff at Soapbox Portland, the city's most fun community space for climate action!
We're having a party for people who care about the planet. Same time, same place, every week. You're invited. Every event we put on includes dinner, facilitation, and vibes. Soapbox Project believes finances should never act as a barrier for folks to participate in our events. Please select the ticket price that best suits your financial situation or reach out for a free ticket by emailing [email protected]. P.S. This ticket is tax-deductible and can be matched by your employer (and as a small nonprofit, we need all the help we can get).
If you wear clothes and care about the planet, this dinner party is for you. We’ll start the evening with dinner, then screen a mini-documentary by Remake, followed by a Q&A with Portland-based soft-goods factory and brand owner Sara Tunstall and circularity expert Liz Start. We’ll learn together about the complexities and harms of the global supply chain, plus how Portland is a leader in creating the future we want to see!
Our plan
5 pm | doors open, dinner available, chomp & chat with attendees
5:35 pm | welcome announcements
5:40 pm | event programming begins
6-7:30 pm: Mini documentary screening and Q&A with Sara Tunstall (Spooltown, GladRags) & Liz Start (Start Consulting Group). This will be educational, interactive, and fun.
7:30-8 pm | peer learning & mingling!
Please arrive by 5:30 to eat dinner before event programming begins.
