About Event

Kids AI Camp is a five-day industry immersion programme for children aged 7 to 15.

Days 1-3 open with a sector-specific Responsible AI morning workshop, followed by an afternoon visit to a confirmed partner company featuring global oil and gas MNC, fintech startups, and tech agency, where participants meet executives and observe AI in practice.

Day 4 is a screen-free outdoors day at Singapore Botanic Gardens: team formation, strengths discovery, and collaborative challenges grounded in world-class team-building methodology.

On Day 5, AI Ideathon teams join their parents and younger participants aged 5-6 to present AI products and solutions to a seasoned industry jury.

This is Singapore's first industry-immersion AI literacy programme for school-age children. It is co-designed with host companies, mapped to MOE Responsible AI principles (Agency, Inclusivity, Fairness, Safety), and aligned with National AI Strategy 2.0.

The programme is designed and led by Assel Mussagaliyeva-Tang: MOE Singapore School Industry Partner, SMU affiliate faculty on AI and Digital Transformation, AI x public sector partner and instructor at the UN ITU Academy, and 2025 Women in AI Fellow.

Every session is facilitated by experienced hackathon mentors, AI practitioners, and computer science graduates who work with children.

Enrolment is capped at 30 participants. Financial need scholarships are limited and available on request.

Hot lunches and water/coffee/tea/hot chocolate breaks are provided daily and accommodated to all dietary needs. Children aged 5 to 6 are welcome on AI Ideathon Day (20 June), accompanied by a parent.
