Your Instructor
Your instructor for this workshop is Ida Lajevardi, the grillz artist and designer behind Yaaqee Studio. Ida founded Yaaqee Studio in 2020 with a focus on body-based adornment and custom grillz. Her background in Industrial Design (BS) plays a big role in shaping her design language, influencing how she works across different materials and techniques.
Ida will guide you through every step of the workshop, sharing the methods and insights she’s developed over the years. Her goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident as you create a grillz piece that’s entirely your own.
What you'll make
During the workshop, you’ll take impressions of your teeth and use them to create a custom wax design for your grillz, the essential first step in making a personalized set.
