Amy Liu, founder and CEO of Tower 28 Beauty, will speak at Tsai CITY as part of the Yale INSPIRE speaker series in partnership with the Yale Entrepreneurial Society. Amy will discuss her path as a mission-driven entrepreneur, the inspiration behind building an inclusive and sensitive-skin–safe beauty brand, and her journey scaling Tower 28 into one of today’s most influential independent beauty companies.

Amy Liu is the founder of Tower 28 Beauty, the cult-favorite clean beauty brand known for its dermatologist-approved formulas designed for even the most sensitive skin. After spending more than 15 years leading marketing and brand strategy at major beauty companies—including Smashbox, Kate Somerville, and Josie Maran—Amy launched Tower 28 in 2019 to fill a gap she experienced personally: high-performance, affordable beauty products that are safe for sensitive skin and grounded in transparency.

Under Amy’s leadership, Tower 28 has become one of the fastest-growing brands in clean beauty, earning a passionate community of consumers, viral recognition on social media, and industry accolades across Allure, Sephora’s Clean at Sephora program, and major beauty awards. The brand is also known for its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and dermatologist-testing standards, setting a new bar for trust and accountability in the beauty industry.

Amy is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship, brand building, and the future of conscious beauty. She has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Glossy, and Business of Fashion for her innovative approach to leadership and product development.

A graduate of the University of California, she lives in Los Angeles with her family.
