The LEGO Group - AI Literacy and Building for Children in a Digital Age (@ India AI Impact Summit)
This is in-person event will also be live-streamed. Live stream link is below
The pace of AI can feel overwhelming - it's understandable that much of the current focus of policymakers, parents and some in industry is teaching children how to survive this wave of technology. However, this perspective can frame children as passive subjects of progress rather than as a key voice in its development. While supporting children to safely, ethically and effectively use the AI tools that exist today is important, so is equipping them with the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to build what is yet to come.
Join the LEGO Group's session @ the India AI Impact Summit and learn how we can shift from preparing children for a world where they are secondary to AI and instead explore ways to provide them with the foundational tools and literacies required to lead, design and critique the systems of the future. Experts from LEGO Education and the LEGO Group’s Creative Play Lab will outline their approach to AI literacy as well as the building blocks companies can take to ensure technology supports the best interests of children. The session will also draw on further expertise from UNICEF on how children’s perspectives and needs can be amplified in the development of this technology.
