Off the Record is a curated dinner series for founders building financial infrastructure on crypto rails, co-hosted by Unlink, EV3, and CMT Digital.
ETHConf week brings a rare concentration of people building financial infrastructure to New York: legacy teams starting to move onto crypto rails, and deeply experienced Ethereum builders ready to bring more companies onchain. We're excited to be hosting a few of them.
Our thesis: Blockchains have become the best payment rails ever built. Stablecoins moved more volume last year than Visa and Mastercard combined, and the institutions have started to arrive. Yet, this is just the beginning.
We are facing a structural problem. Banks and financial institutions want access to liquidity on the largest chains, but they cannot run operations on infrastructure that exposes their entire business in real time.
We believe that privacy is what closes that gap. It is the one piece of infrastructure between where things stand today and the next trillion dollars of financial activity moving onchain, and the companies that solve it first will set the terms everyone else operates under.
