OV Open Mic: Share Your Ideas
βHi OV Melbourne,
βGuess who's here π«’
βOur host Lina Le is bringing her witty presence back this month with her usual series: Cocktails Night with Lina!
βJoin us on Tuesday 26 May for the same Open Mic format you loved, where four speakers will take the stage and share the projects they've been working on:
π Gia Huynh : Skincare for the Modern Vietnamese-Australian Woman
βGia is combining her science background with a real gap she's identified in the market β a skincare brand designed specifically for dry-skin women in their 20s living and working indoors in Australia (yes, the AC and heater struggle is real). She's navigating the journey from formulation knowledge to actual product development and brand building - and she's looking for feedback, connections, and support to get there.
βπ€ Kien Vu: A Collaboration Platform for Humans & Agentic AI
β"What if AI agents could actually work together β with humans in the loop?"
βKien is building a collaboration platform that lets humans and agentic AI work side by side - with the ability to manage, sync, and version-control AI memory and context across multiple users. And he's already building it.
βπNathan Nguyen : AI Marketing for SMEs & Retail Owners
βNathan has built an AI marketing platform designed specifically for SMEs and retail store owners - already launched and looking for customers and feedback. If you know a small business owner who struggles with marketing, this one's for them.
βπ Chau Nguyen : Pitch Your Vietnamese Friend
βChau is bringing the most uniquely OV idea of the night. Her concept? A community format where anyone can get up and pitch a Vietnamese friend - for a job, business collab, a friendship, or honestly, whatever they need. It's part talent showcase, part community connector, and 100% the kind of thing that could only happen in a room like ours.
βLast time, the crowd was asking questions away and it was a good time to connect. We're expecting the same energy, if not better ππΈ
βOh, and we may have a little surprise in store. All we can say is it's going to be fun, and you really don't want to miss out on this one π
βWe're planning for an interactive night for sure, and we hope to see many of you there!
βThis event is open to both our OV members and the wider open community β a chance to experience the OV Melbourne spirit in a relaxed, ideas-first setting.
βOverseas Vietnamese is one of the world's largest global networks of Vietnamese professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders. In Melbourne, we're building something special: a local chapter that honours our heritage while embracing diverse, multidisciplinary journeys. Nights like this are how we grow that β one idea at a time.
