About Event

Building Adaptation Skills for a Changing Climate Workshops & Tree Planting activities is funded by the City of Edmonton through the Community Adaptation Micro Grant.

This is a community-focused climate adaptation initiative designed to increase awareness, strengthen practical adaptation skills and inspire meaningful environmental action among residents of Edmonton and the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan area.

The initiative combines climate education with hands-on environmental stewardship by providing residents with the knowledge, tools, and experience needed to better understand climate risks and implement practical solutions that support community resilience.

Workshop Series

The workshop series will take place on:

  • Friday, August 28, 2026

  • Friday, September 25, 2026

  • Friday, October 30, 2026

Each workshop will run from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM hosted at the Stanley A. Milner Library.

The event's workshops and tree planting activities are free and open to the public.
