GIS WEEK 2025

​🌍 Every year, the world celebrates Global GIS Day: A time to explore how geospatial technology shapes the way we understand and improve our planet. At the University of Nairobi, we go beyond a single day, hosting a three-day in-person celebration through the Geospatial Engineering Students Association (GESA) that brings together students, professionals, and organizations passionate about location intelligence and innovation.

​🚀 This year’s celebration, GIS Week 2025, is themed “Expanding the Influence of GIS.” Over three days, participants will dive into industry exhibitions, expert talks, hands-on workshops, networking sessions, and our annual Visualization Challenge, all focused on exploring how GIS continues to drive change across industries and communities.
