George del Barrio Waimea Valley Outreach Coordinator

This presentation explores how Waimea Valley’s outreach program engages local organizations and individuals to protect one of Hawaiʻi’s most sacred and historically rich landscapes. Through cultural education, native restoration, and volunteer collaboration, we’re cultivating a model of sustainable community impact. Rotary and Waimea Valley share a common goal: to serve with purpose and create lasting connections that uplift both people and place. Attendees will learn how their clubs can participate in meaningful, hands-on stewardship opportunities that directly benefit the Valley and the wider Oʻahu community.
