Bringing standards and governance to the "Wild West" of off-exchange enrollment: a fireside chat with Kyle Estep, CEO of ICHRAx
It's still early innings for ICHRA adoption, and one thing that needs solving before the arrangement takes off is the infrastructure behind off-exchange plans, which today leaves a lot to be desired.
Enter ICHRAx, which launched this week to build a shared data layer between health plans and ICHRA administrators, with an initial cohort including Oscar Health, Take Command, and zizzl health, plus an industry-led governance model. This is one of HTN's favorite types of business: a network business tackling an obscure problem with regulatory tailwinds, positioned to bring order to what's currently the Wild West.
Kyle Estep, CEO of ICHRAx, has worked both ends of this problem — he led Oscar Health's growth as it expanded from the New York metro area across 15 states, then spent several years at ICHRA administrator Take Command, most recently as SVP of Strategy. HTN sits down with Kyle days after launch to talk through what ICHRAx is building and what it'll take for this market to scale.
Live event open to everyone, replay and transcript exclusively available for HTN Pros.
