Code, Power, and the Public: Women Shaping AI for Democracy
Join WISE and Civic Tech DC for an evening exploring how women are shaping the future of the intersection between responsible AI and democracy.
As AI systems increasingly influence how governments communicate with constituents, how elections are administered, and how civic institutions function, the question of who builds and governs these tools has never been more urgent — and women are at the forefront of answering it. This event brings together leading voices to explore the role of AI in strengthening democratic institutions, as well as the risks posed to these very institutions.
Hear from the women leading the building and governing of emerging technology to serve the public good and strengthen democratic institutions, then join a dynamic panel discussion on challenges and opportunities in AI for civic tech. The evening concludes with a networking reception to forge connections across sectors.
