Every week, someone shows the room a film they've never actually watched — and never on anything bigger than a laptop or TV, until now.

For our [Nth] screening, we'll be showing Mathieu Kassovitz's La haine (1995).

24 hours in the lives of three young men in the French suburbs the day after a violent riot.

Shot in stark black and white and still one of the most influential French films of the '90s, La Haine hasn't lost any of its urgency or style in thirty years. A real tonal shift from our earlier picks, and a good reminder that this series isn't just genre spectacle.
