Job Search Mastery approach
There is no "right way" to land a job, but there are principles we've discovered in Job Search Mastery that consistently lead to results, and help you discover the approach that works for you!
Process: We run an iterative process that leads members to discover what works for them to ace every milestone in their job search.
Practice: Job Search Mastery meets twice a week so that you're constantly practicing networking and interviewing with ambitious peers. Members report building confidence and developing their interview persona so that when the big interview comes they're ready!
Listening: The secret to landing a job is listening to others and reflecting back what they care about. We feel so much pressure to talk about ourselves, but check out R's testimonial below showing how listening lead to her offer.
Community: We meet twice a week for one hour and everyday on Slack. Community gives us constant and organic feedback + accountability + confidence. Don't search alone!
Tips from past Job Search Mastery Members
Sandy landed a Director of Product role in 9 weeks at Amazon: In February, 2025 Sandy got an offer. Here's the advice she shared with Job Search Mastery members about the journey:
Stating the result upfront in my stories led to greater impact and more interaction with the interviewer. The big result hooked them in and led them to engage with the response from the beginning instead of waiting for me to get through the STAR story.
Keep doing mock interview practice. The times I did badly at answering in the cohort really pushed me to up my game and gave me a realistic picture of how I presented to interviewers. This was the biggest value add for me of joining the cohort.
Don't internalize the rejections. It's a tough market and you're doing the work. Eventually preparation meets opportunity. I started being clinical about deleting the rejection emails, not bashing myself about it and staying on program.
R. Landed a Senior Product Designer role in 8 weeks. She said the game changer for her was, "I'm asking the right questions to identify offer criteria (and oh do they love to spell it out for you when you know what to ask!). I'm also feeling in control and not so nervous, so I'm in a position to absorb subtle things about the job from every conversation."
