Folk Tech Connection Call - April 2026 - Project Show & Tell

​Folk Tech is a movement among people who want to develop apps for their community without depending on big tech companies and a community of developers making decentralized, p2p, open source, open standard-based tech.

​​In Silicon Valley, people are “consumers” and “users.” We resist a narrative that turns people into subjects of a technocracy. With Folk Tech, we’re all just folks.

​For this session, we'll be inviting a few Folk Tech projects to share about what they are building and demo some work. A full lineup will be shared in advance. If you are wanting to be part of this demo, please reach out!

​Note: We'll have an optional 30 minute hangout after our first hour to explore and meet in small groups and return with our insights and appreciations.
