Azad Safarnama: Writing, Journeying & Thinking with Siddharth Kapila

​Azad Writes invites you to join us for a two-day writing workshop led by Siddharth Kapila, author of the acclaimed travelogue Tripping Down the Ganga. Designed for readers, aspiring writers, and anyone curious about sharpening their voice on the page, this workshop blends observation, experience, and craft-showing how the textures of a place can be transformed into vivid, memorable writing.

Day one takes the classroom outdoors with a guided field visit to Khusro Bagh, where participants will gather impressions, details, and narratives from the site itself-learning how to see like a writer and take notes that go beyond the obvious. On day two, those observations will be shaped into short pieces through focused writing activities, followed by a free-wheeling discussion with Kapila on travel writing, storytelling, and the writing life, with ample space for questions, feedback, and conversation.
