Port of Call: Madrid Shipaton
the countdown started a little over a month ago.
the Shipaton — the biggest hackathon on the planet, by RevenueCat:
one app before the deadline.
and builders all over the world accepted the challenge and have been building out loud:
online, and in rooms across the world.
madrid wasn't going to sit this one out.
so we're making a stop. halfway through the voyage.
to meet. to show what we've got. to celebrate getting this far.

still want more? friday is part two, with a much smaller crew.
we open with a guided walk through real ship engines —
the ones that made the electricity that moved the madrid metro,
back before light was anything like we know it.
felt inspired? then it's time to build.
after the cultural experience, we'll walk to another spot with everything we need:
tables, wifi, and the rest of the afternoon inside the project,
surrounded by people doing exactly the same.
so you actually ship before the weekend even starts.
THE FINE PRINT
laptop with a charged battery is a must on friday — and very welcome on thursday too, so you can show people how you're building your app
spots are limited per night — when they're gone, they're gone.

¿te quedas con ganas de más? el viernes habrá segunda parte, con un grupo bastante más reducido, eso sí.
empezaremos con una visita guiada y verás motores de barco reales,
de los que generaban la electricidad que movía el metro de madrid.
¿te has venido arriba? pues a construir.
nos acercamos caminando al lugar que tiene todo lo necesario para culminar este planazo:
mesas, wifi y toda la tarde metida en el proyecto,
y a tu alrededor, gente haciendo exactamente lo mismo.
para que shipees antes incluso de que empiece el finde.
LA LETRA PEQUEÑA
portátil con batería cargada es imprescindible el viernes (y el jueves también te lo puedes traer si quieres enseñar cómo estás construyendo tu app) ·
