Beyond growth: What could replace the current system? (Workshop about alternatives and Imagining desirable futures)
This workshop is the second workshop in Political ecology and Degrowth for youth project.
If the first workshop asked why the system isn't working. In this one we are asking "What could replace it?"
We'll explore alternatives to the current growth-based economic system, including degrowth, post-capitalism, decolonial perspectives and the politics of delinking. We will also look into cases of communities which are living these alternatives such as Zapatista autonomous communities in Chiapas and the cooperative network of Mondragón.
In the afternoon, after a break with a cake, we will have a workshop about imagining Degrowth Futures hosted by Birgitte, Frederikke and Adrian from AAU.
