We'll be reading and discussing the paper: Natural Selection Favors AIs over Humans
Drawing on analogies from biology and evolution, this paper is intended for a wide audience and is a much easier read than usual - if you find the technical papers overwhelming, fret not because this reading group will be much more accessible!
It makes for a very interesting read as it lays out some of the foundational arguments for catastrophic risk from self-improving AI.
