​행사는 ARIA에 대한 간단한 소개로 시작되며, 도전적인 기술 문제를 해결하고 있는 연구자와 창업자들의 라이트닝 토크가 이어집니다. 이후에는 식사와 음료를 함께하며 자유롭게 교류할 수 있는 네트워킹 시간이 마련됩니다.

​ARIA 소개

​Advanced Research and Invention Agency(ARIA)​는 영국의 고위험·고성과 연구개발(R&D) 지원 기관입니다.

​기존의 연구 지원 방식으로는 추진하기 어려운 대담하고 실험적이며 학제적인 연구를 지원함으로써, 과학기술 분야의 새로운 돌파구를 만들어가는 것을 목표로 합니다.

​ARIA는 전통적인 위원회 중심의 심사 방식 대신 Programme Director 제도를 운영합니다. Programme Director는 아직 충분히 주목받지 못한 연구 기회를 발굴하고, 대담한 기술 비전을 제시하며, 이를 실현할 연구자와 프로젝트를 연결하는 역할을 담당합니다.

​Antler Korea 소개

​앤틀러(Antler)​는 뛰어난 창업자들이 더 멀리, 더 빠르게 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 글로벌 벤처캐피털입니다. 전 세계 30개 도시에서 활동하며, 현재까지 1,800개 이상의 스타트업에 투자해 왔습니다. 또한 PitchBook 글로벌 리그 테이블에서 2024년과 2025년, 전 세계에서 가장 활발한 초기 단계 투자사로 선정되었습니다.

​앤틀러코리아는 아이디어 단계의 개인 창업자부터 제품과 초기 트랙션을 확보한 기술 스타트업까지, 각 팀의 단계와 성장 속도에 맞는 투자 경로를 제공합니다.

• ​Inception Residency: 공동창업팀 구성과 사업 검증. 현재 8기까지 1만 5천여명의 지원자 중 3% 내외 참여자 선발 하고 그 중 투자 심의를 통해 85개 기업에 투자 완료.

• ​Forge Residency: 고객 검증, 기업 협업 및 글로벌 확장. 2026년 3월 포지 첫번째 코호트 진행, 35개국 100팀 지원하여 최종 2개사 투자 완료.

• ​Fast-track Investment: 팀·제품·초기 트랙션을 보유한 스타트업 직접 투자

​공동창업자 및 핵심 인재 연결, 비즈니스 모델 검증, 초기 투자, 기업 및 글로벌 네트워크 연계, 후속 투자 유치까지 창업과 성장의 전 과정을 지원합니다.

​이번 행사는 도전적인 연구와 기술이 새로운 창업과 글로벌 비즈니스로 이어질 수 있도록 과학자, 연구자, 기술 창업자 및 산업 관계자를 연결하기 위해 마련되었습니다.

​앤틀러코리아는 2026년 8월부터 Antler Forge 두번째 코호트 참여 팀의 지원을 받아, 10월 중 레지던시를 시작할 예정입니다.

​또한 ARIA는 2026년 8월 제3기 Programme Director 모집을 시작하며, 선발자는 2027년 5월부터 활동할 예정​입니다.

​UK’s Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) is coming to Seoul to establish a relationship between Korean scientific excellence and world-class, high-risk capital.

​Join us alongside Antler Korea for an evening exploring how ambitious science gets funded, and learn how exceptional technical leaders can shape entirely new research directions.

​We will begin with a short introduction to ARIA, followed by lightning talks from our peers, researchers and founders working on ambitious technical problems before continuing the conversation over food and drinks.

​ARIA will start recruiting its third cohort of Programme Directors, with applications opening in August 2026 for a May 2027 start.
