Science Journalist
Takeshi Shimizu is a science journalist and broadcast interpreter working for BBC World Service. He studied physics and mathematics and then researched computational fluid dynamics. He began his career in broadcast media at NHK and later joined BBC. With experience in both the UK and Japan, he offers unique insights into science, technology, innovation, and international trends.
Chris Fletcher
Engineer, Third Scope Inc.
Chris is a core developer of Kanata AI and an AI engineer specializing in large language model applications for enterprise use. With AWS credentials and hands-on experience deploying production-grade AI systems, he works closely with businesses to translate cutting-edge LLM capabilities into practical, scalable solutions.
Active in both the UK and Japan, Chris regularly contributes technical articles in both languages, and insights to help organisations navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Ai Shishikura
Project Manager, Third Scope Europe Ltd.
Ai Shishikura is a former R&D engineer at a Japanese technology company supporting one of the critical infrastructure systems in Japan. With a background in scientific research from Kyoto University, she began developing AI-powered web applications during the early wave of generative AI adoption, including building a voice diary platform integrating speech recognition and emotion analysis to generate structured insights and mood analytics.
