Launch of O.R.C. and Poetry on Drugs Zine

​Join us for the dual launch of two poetic publications: Organised.Radical.Community (redfuturesmag) and Poetry on Drugs Zine (Radical Dreams Network).

​As a special request from the organisers, please stay at home if you are sick and/or likely to infect others.

​Organised.Radical.Community is an orc poetry pamphlet by Francis Gene-Rowe. Here’s a blurb: “There is no 'I' in orc. The Organised Radical Community is the name of both a trade union of orcs and the poem-manifestos which emerged from a workshop series held by the union. A glimpse beyond the enclosure of hegemony, O.R.C. proclaims the resilience and insurgent violence of a collective subject that is outside the outside, beyond borders. Through its visions of alternative speech, biomes, and polities, O.R.C. shows moments of flourishing amidst and beyond abjection. If only these orcs could tear down this world too.”

​The O.R.C. launch will feature readings and performances from Stephen Mooney, David Ashford, Rhys Trimble and, of course, O.R.C. delegates.

​A part of the wider Radical Dreams Network project ‘Poetry on Drugs: Language, Dreaming and the Coming Revolution’, the Poetry on Drugs Zine features writing across forms and disciplines from Tim Atkins, Naomi Foyle, Francis Gene-Rowe, Alexandra Hamilton, Jeff Hilson, MontenegroFisher, Chloë Myshkin, Richard Parker, Jordan Savage, Lucia Sellars, Andrew Spragg, Philip Terry and Rhys Trimble. The launch will feature readings and performances by zine contributors.

​Paper copies of both publications will be available to buy on the day.
