AI Clinic: Copilot Studio – Managing Knowledge Sources and Data Confidentiality
Join us for the second part of our hands-on AI Clinic exploring Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Building on our first session, Jonas Krebs will demonstrate how to manage knowledge sources and configure AI agents to deliver reliable, document-based answers while protecting sensitive institutional information.
Through a live demonstration, we will explore:
Managing knowledge sources – Uploading documents, organising information and connecting agents to relevant knowledge.
Controlling general knowledge – Configuring agents to prioritise trusted sources and reduce unsupported or inaccurate responses.
Confidentiality and access permissions – Understanding how to manage sensitive institutional information and control access.
Essential settings and practical considerations – Exploring key configuration options and good practices for using AI agents in research management and administration.
This practical session is designed for research professionals interested in building and configuring AI agents, with a focus on real-world applications. No programming experience is required.
This AI clinic will be lead by Jonas Krebs.
Jonas has spent over 15 years at the intersection of science and science management, looking for creative and smarter ways to manage complex research environments. As Coordinator of Strategic Projects at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, he supervises a team of Scientific Project Managers, helping to turn ambitious ideas into reality by optimising workflows, securing funding, and integrating emerging technologies into daily operations. With a PhD in Molecular Biology and two research management certifications (PMP, EU Liaison Officer Research), Jonas has deep understanding of both the scientific and operational sides of research. His focus on the transformative potential of GenAI has led him to actively experiment with AI-driven automation, workflow optimisation, and impactful applications of LLMs in research and research management. Jonas is also a co-founder and former chair of the Research Management Working Group within the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA).
