Between Worlds

Sustainable Strength for Immigrant-Serving Leaders

To lead between cultures, systems, and crises requires extraordinary strength.

Immigrant-serving leaders are holding collective fear, legal instability, systemic uncertainty, and the stories of families navigating displacement — often while carrying their own immigrant journey.

Even the strongest leaders need space to steady.

Between Worlds is a 90-minute nervous system reset designed specifically for leaders and teams serving immigrant communities in New York.

This experience weaves together somatic and embodiment practices — including gentle movement, shaking, fascia maneuvers, EFT tapping, and conscious breath — alongside principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS) inspired by Dr. Frank Anderson.

Each element is designed to help you safely discharge stress, restore steadiness, and reconnect to grounded leadership.

This is not therapy.
This is not performance.
This is not self-care fluff.

This is for you if:

• You lead or work in an organization serving immigrant, asylum-seeking, or newcomer communities
• You are navigating uncertainty and systemic instability
• You hold secondary trauma from the stories and realities your community faces
• You are an immigrant yourself, carrying both personal and collective stress
• You are exhausted and operating in survival mode
• You don’t need self-care — you need sustainable strength

What to Expect:

This is a guided, deep somatic experience.

You can expect:

• Gentle nervous system grounding
• Light embodied movement
• Gentle breathwork (steady, not intense)
• Quiet reflection using Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles
• Sharing circle

Everything is invitational.
You are always in choice.

What You’ll Walk Away With:

• A steadier nervous system
• Relief from constant pressure
• Clearer thinking under stress
• Leadership rooted in strength — not survival
• Practical tools you can use immediately

Led By: Kanwal Jehan

Kanwal Jehan is a Certified Somatic Facilitator (500+ hours), Leadership Coach, and Founder of GrowthSpire, a trauma-informed leadership and wellbeing company devoted to supporting mission-driven leaders in times of uncertainty.

She is currently undergoing advanced training in IFS-Informed Trauma Somatic Therapy under Dr. Frank Anderson, integrating Internal Family Systems with trauma-informed somatic practice.

A native New Yorker with Afghan and Pakistani roots, Kanwal understands what it means to live and lead between worlds. Before founding GrowthSpire, she spent over a decade as an executive and community leader in New York’s fast-paced tech ecosystem, where she witnessed firsthand the weight of burnout, chronic stress, and the quiet pressure leaders carry behind closed doors.

Today, she blends lived experience, leadership expertise, and nervous system science to help leaders feel steadier in their bodies, clearer in their decisions, and stronger in their leadership — without running on survival.
