UX Photo Safari 2: Designing Downtown
❗️ Registration fee starts at 200 PHP (150 PHP if you registered before April 30). Cash payments will only be accepted during the event. Snacks, beverages, and water will be provided after the safari proper.
Step into the streets of downtown Iloilo City and rediscover everyday spaces through the lens of User Experience (UX).
The UX Photo Safari Walk 🗺️ is a guided, hands-on exploration where participants capture moments of how people interact with the city, its sidewalks, signage, transport, public spaces, and systems. Whether you’re a designer or simply curious, this event invites you to observe like a problem-solver and storyteller.
👉 As we walk, you’ll learn to spot small but meaningful details:
Where do people hesitate, struggle, or get confused?
What makes certain spaces feel intuitive, safe, or welcoming?
How does the environment shape behavior—good or bad?
Using just your phone camera, you’ll document real-life “UX moments”—from poorly placed signs to beautifully designed public experiences. Each photo becomes a starting point for discussion: What’s happening? Why does it matter? How could it be improved?
👉 By the end of the walk, participants will:
Build a beginner-friendly understanding of UX through real-world observation
Develop empathy for everyday users of the city
Identify opportunities to improve urban experiences in simple, practical ways
Share insights and ideas that could inspire better design for the community
This is not about taking perfect photos—it’s about seeing differently. Because good design starts with noticing.
