Fireside with Hans Robertson, Verkada

​South Park Commons is delighted to host Hans Robertson, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Verkada for a fireside chat.

Hans Robertson is executive chairman and co-founder of Verkada, a leader in cloud-based physical security solutions. Founded in 2016 with just four employees, Hans has helped scale Verkada to more than 2,200 employees, 31,000 enterprise customers, and a valuation of $5.8 billion. Today, Hans leads Verkada’s daily operations in partnership with Verkada’s CEO, Filip Kaliszan.

​Prior to Verkada, Hans co-founded another Silicon Valley Unicorn, Meraki, where he served as chief operating officer for almost a decade. During this time, he helped design the first cloud-managed enterprise networking products – including Wi-Fi, firewall, and switching systems – and led the company to a $1.2 billion acquisition with Cisco in 2012.

​Prior to founding Meraki he was a product manager at EMC and was an early employee at VMware. Hans began his career as a business analyst at McKinsey & Co. Hans also serves as a Board member at Pilot and Tractian. Hans holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
