[ RERE in a NUTSHELL ]
TL;DR
RERE : Regenerative Resources was co-initiated in 2022 amidst of the emerging ReFi scene in BR as a cybercultural protocol conceived not as a “technological framework” or “financial mechanism ” but as a field of paradigmatic P2P experimentation that aims simultaneously to:
1 :: generate critical thinking about both the algorithmic capture of the attention economy of web2, where we are treated as users, and the unique opportunity to perceive ourselves as co-creators of the emerging cyberspace of web3;
2 :: understanding that, unlike web2 - where cyberculture is a massive monoculture that boils down to constant data capture by big tech companies and hyper-consumption of content monitored by governments - web3, in addition to data being cryptographically protected and truly belonging to each person, allows for the cultivation of different cybercultures, linked or not to the recovery of political economies based on resources of our ancestors, to forms of P2P relationship and expression that takes into account the diversity of human expression and the more-than-human (other species).
3 :: allowing any person or project — linked or not to ReFi — to glocally co-create, from different dimensions of perception of reality (hyperlocal, bioregional, and planetary), distinct forms of coordination as well as mutual access to all sorts of resources (tangible/intangible).
RERE, from the beginning, does not position itself as a "solution" or "technological innovation," but as a cybercultural protocol co-substantiated by the lenses of 08 interdependent paradigms that are a permanent invitation for folks, projects, collectives, communities, and initiatives can articulate their practices around shareable resources — material, symbolic, relational, and informational — through a Commons Pool of Shareable Resources (CPoSR) to not only depend less on fiat resources, but also to avoid creating a dependence on crypto and instead foster a healthy, and indeed regenerative, interdependence between people, projects and contexts, thus experiencing the very way in which nature generates the interactive phenomenon of life on this incredible planet!
RERE`S ECOLOGY OF PEERS & PROJECTS
having been born alongside the nascent ReFi scene in BR it is natural that many of the main folks and projects that are relevant players today — such as agroforestDAO and Knot Studios — are part of its ecology. Still, it is not restricted to ReFi.
now entering its fourth year of co-creation, RERE’s ecology is composed of a web of more than 25 projects and almost 200 peers throughout Brazil and Latin America.
GPBR AS RERE`S ECOSYSTEMIC INTERFACE
fun fact: GPBR was founded not only to give visibility to greenpill network’s unique value proposal in Brazil — where ReFiDAO already had presence — but also as an opportunity to articulate a more consistent brazilian presence in Ethereum’s Layer 2 ReFi ecosystem, especially concerning Gitcoin’s Quadratic Funding rounds.
at the same time, it emerged as an incredible way to co-create — through RERE’s paradigmatic lenses — a very peculiar greenpill network chapter.
in this sense, GPBR became RERE’s ecosystemic interface for everything ReFi in Ethereum’s L2s.
and even more interesting: is really paying off =)
THE WORKSHOP ITSELF
the idea is to cyberculturally facilitate a workshop in the same vibe of RERE`s 404unconferences :
it starts centralized , in our case here, presenting our " meteoric vision " + a synthetic RERE overview ...
then we open space for questions and doubts ...
after that we begin to decentralize opening two breakout rooms:
:: one dedicate to share about RERE`s critical cybernetic layer understanding about internet´s cyberspace and ...
:: the other focused on how working from the perspective of different political economies changes the way we perceive wealth generation.
in the sequence , now in a distributed form, everyone gathers again in the main zoom room to constitute a cypher, in the spirit of a campfire circle, when each person will have the opportunity to appreciate and share what was truly meaningful for them.
POTENTIAL NEXT STEP
last but not least: given the necessary time to better grok how RERE’s paradigmatic lenses can aggregate value to the challenges that greenpill network is currently facing — and taking as reference the way GPBR has been co-creating ways to make a difference in Brazil’s complex local realities — we are open to facilitating whatever makes sense.
