Claude Code Meetup Halifax
Join Halifax's first Claude Community Event, organized by local AI and Claude enthusiasts for anyone who's interested in building with AI, or tinkering with Claude (or Claude Code).
Whether you're a business owner, building the next unicorn startup, an executive, a seasoned developer at a major corporation, or just getting started with AI-powered development, this event is for you.
Come ready to learn from real-world implementations, share your own experiences, and connect with fellow builders who are building with AI.
Event Agenda
6:00 - 6:15 PM | Welcome & Introductions
Meet fellow AI enthusiasts and grab some food & drinks while we get started.
6:15 - 6:30 PM | Reverse Q&A w/ the Audience
We'll be exploring Claude and AI use-cases from the audience, and learn where everyone is on their AI-fluency journey.
6:30 - 7:00 PM | Live Call with Anthropic's Claude Code Team
Bring your questions – big or small – with feedback and feature requests directly to the Anthropic team members working on Claude / Claude Code.
7:00 - 7:30 PM | Exploring Claude with Matt Cooper (CEO @ Volta)
A noteworthy session with Matt, a Claude power-user, where we get to learn about his AI-stack and how he uses the tools, features, and capabilities of Claude Skills to the max.
7:30 - 8:00 PM | Exploring use-cases with Real-world Project Demos + Q&A
We dive into a wide variety of use-cases, spanning from coding, marketing, creative design, admin, etc. across different roles. We'll keep it practical; bring your "could this work for..." questions :)
(We'll try to squeeze-in a live build session – problem to working solution in real-time.)
8:00 - 8:30 PM | Closing
Continue conversations, make connections, and dive deeper into the demos as we close for the night.
Who Should Come:
✓ Business owners tired of waiting months for custom tools
✓ Founders who want to prototype before fundraising
✓ Anyone who's said "we need to build X" but doesn't know where to start
✓ Developers curious about AI-assisted workflows
✓ The experimenters and tinkerers
✓ People who learn by seeing, not reading docs
Curiosity essential :) Technical background helpful but not required.
PS: Have a 'I wish I had...' problem? Mention it when you RSVP; we might tackle it during the live build.
