Our first event open to students for the opportunity to discover, connect, and hear from people shaping frontier finance in Charlotte.

The onchain transition of financial markets is real. BIS is building a blockchain alternative to SWIFT. Stripe is partnering with VISA, Anthropic, Shopify and more to build Tempo, a payments blockchain. VISA also announced they'll be building on Canton, the chain DTCC is launching tokenization services on (soft launch July 1). Plus, crypto wallet providers are building agentic payment solutions too.

It's happening, and the people who understand onchain finance and build with agentic AI first will have an unfair advantage. This event exists to gives you that edge, along with some access to builders in the city worth knowing.

Day 1 - Tuesday, April 14 (Afternoon/Evening)

The Financial System, Explained

A focused talk: First principles of financial systems, what's actually being built, where blockchain fits into it, and what it means for where the industry is headed.

Where The Work Is and Where The Money's Going

A Conversation (Panel or Fireside Chat): A deeper conversation with builders working in onchain finance and infrastructure. Bring your questions!
- What trends are emerging in onchain finance and AI?
- What does someone need to know to be valuable in the workforce in 2-3 years?
Open Discussion: If you're building something, wrestling with a career decision, or just want to understand the financial industry better, there'll be time to ask the speakers for their insights.

Day 2 - Wednesday, April 15 (9am to 5pm)

Open office hours at UNCC. Drop in at any point throughout the day with questions about onchain finance, what to build, how to break in, or just to talk. No agenda or slides, just access.
