About Event

Everyone building for young people says the same thing: you have to involve them. Far fewer teams know how to actually do it and what it means for every product decision you make.

In this session, Jas Schembri-Stothart, Co-Founder of luna - the UK's leading health and wellbeing app for teen girls, now supporting over 250,000 young people - shares what she's learned from building a product that young people genuinely trust, use, and come back to.

Luna wasn't built in a boardroom. It was co-created with its community from day one including a major pivot early on when teens told them directly that they wouldn't use a platform their parents could also access. That single piece of user insight changed everything.

In this session Jas will share the hard-won lessons from building for one of the most complex, most important, and most underserved audiences in mental health and what founders, operators, and clinicians working with or for young people can take back to their own work.

Whether you're building for young people or thinking about how to involve them more meaningfully in your work, this session will give you a practical framework you can apply immediately.

Jas is passionate about empowering all women and those assigned female at birth with factually accurate information about their bodies and health, enabling them to make informed decisions. She has also served as a School Governor at her former high school, reflecting her commitment to education and community. Outside of her professional interests, Jas is a musical theatre enthusiast who never misses an opportunity to belt out a song from Les Misérables.
