Each one is software, hardware, sensors, and data at once, so each one crosses cybersecurity, product safety, and AI governance at the same time. And the rules are moving: the EU pulled machinery out of the AI Act's direct scope this summer, and the new Machinery Regulation applies in January 2027.

October 10 sits in the middle of three big events, and each one covers part of what this table cares about:
Build — ProductCon SF (Oct 6–7). ProductCon San Francisco runs October 6 & 7 at SVN West. One of its sessions is on what it took to ship a new consumer AI product in a regulated, high-stakes industry, with clinicians and engineers building side by side. Another makes the case for building backwards, starting from working code instead of a spec.
Scale — TechCrunch Disrupt (Oct 13–15). Moscone Center in San Francisco, October 13–15. Its Smart Systems Stage covers automation, robotics, and climate systems, and top investors judge breakout startups competing live in Startup Battlefield 200. StrictlyVC's framing: a tougher path to the public markets, with higher expectations around growth, governance, and credibility.
Transact — Money20/20 USA (Oct 18–21). One of its four pillars is "Brave New World: Setting Guardrails," alongside "Partnerships as the Engine to Scale," exploring how AI, new business models and evolving regulation reshape how trust is built.
Our position in that sequence: the conferences cover building, raising and transacting. This table covers the step in between, the security and compliance review that decides whether a physical AI product gets deployed at all.

Each session, a guest speaker opens with 15 minutes on a specific, unhyped question about AI governance in regulated industries, followed by 60 minutes of peer discussion. Everyone leaves with a sharper point of view.

About the hosts:
Deepali Gosain is Founder & CEO of Ferendis, where she leads AI governance for regulated industries. She brings extensive experience building enterprise applications at Oracle and Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading AI and digital platforms in FDA-regulated and GxP environments. Her graduate work at Stanford shaped how she thinks about systems, risk, and decision-making at scale. At Ferendis she leads the conversations that make leaders and industries sharper and smarter.
Vivek Bharathi Muruganandam is an AI Innovation and Product Leader helping enterprises and startups succeed with AI, from product strategy to development to Go-To-Market and partnerships, with 13 years of industry experience. Currently, he serves as an Innovation Leader at an enterprise SaaS AI company, operating at the intersection of business strategy, agentic AI systems, and transformation initiatives. He advises GTM leadership on where and how to deploy AI for maximum impact, while architecting the agentic AI data foundations, multi-agent operating models, and intelligence systems that turn business and innovation strategies into scaled, governed, production-ready operations across the organization. Previously, he led ecosystem strategy and GTM execution for IBM Software's enterprise agentic AI platform products, working closely with hyperscalers, GSIs, ISVs, and channel partners to bring innovative AI solutions to market.
