Facial recognition is everywhere. In subways, on streets, and even at the protest you almost skipped.
Privacy Runway is Youth for Privacy's answer. On September 11, six young designers bring anti-surveillance looks to the runway, built to fight back against surveillance. We want to build a community against facial recognition, bringing together technologists, privacy advocates, creatives, and anyone who cares about privacy. After the fashion show, there's a short panel and a networking reception.

Some Housekeeping Details:
Dress Code: Since we're dealing with the theme of surveillance, we want you to dress like you want to stay hidden and anonymous. What that looks like is up to you! Wear a mask, sunglasses, a fabulous veil - anything that confuses the CCTVs and adds to your mystique.
Run of Show: The line to the venue starts at 7:00PM, and doors open at 7:30 PM. The Runway will start shortly after. After the runway and a short panel highlighting the works of creatives and privacy advocates, the after party (hosted by our very own co- founder / resident DJ Zino Haro) will kickoff. Everything will wrap up by 11pm.
No Late Entry: There's no entry after the Runway starts, so please be there on time. We cannot accept late entries.
