About Event

The Wellbeing Hub by The Pause Collective

The Wellbeing Hub is a dedicated space available to all attendees over the 3-day conference to pause, reset and recharge throughout the conference from 09:00 to 17:00.

Develop:Brighton can be an inspiring but intensive experience and the Wellbeing Hub offers a calm, welcoming environment where you can step away from the busy show floor and invest some time in your own wellbeing. Whether you're looking for a moment of quiet reflection, a guided mindfulness practice, movement, relaxation, or simply a peaceful place to gather your thoughts, the hub is designed to support you.

Delivered in partnership with Safe In Our World, Women in Games and SpecialEffect, the programme has been developed in response to attendee feedback and our collective commitment to supporting wellbeing across the games industry.

Throughout the event, attendees will be able to participate in a range of practitioner led and self guided activities including:

  • Guided Meditation

  • Grounding and Body Scanning

  • Yin Yoga

  • Breathwork and Tai Chi

  • Reiki and Reflection

  • EFT Tapping

  • Sound Baths

  • Reflection Journaling and Free Writing

  • Mindful Colouring

  • Pebble Painting

  • Lego Play

Curated activities will operate across three days and to ensure a comfortable and restorative experience for all attendees, registration is required. These will run as follows:

Tuesday Afternoon (13:00 - 16:30)

  • Guided Meditation - 13:00 - 13:30

  • Breathwork / Tai Chi - 14:00 - 14:30

  • Sound Bath - 15:00 - 15:45

  • Reflection Journaling - 16:00 - 16:30

Wednesday Morning (09:00 - 12:00)

  • Grounding & Body Scanning - 09:00 - 09:30

  • Yin Yoga - 10:00 - 10:45

  • Reiki & Reflection - 11:00 - 11:45

Wednesday Afternoon (13:00 - 16:30)

  • Free Writing - 12:00 - 12:45

  • EFT Tapping / Tai Chi - 14:00 - 14:30

  • Sound Bath - 15:00 - 15:45

  • Guided Meditation - 16:00 - 16:30

Thursday Morning (9:00 - 12:00)

  • Guided Meditation - 9:00 - 09:30

  • Yin Yoga - 10:00 - 10:45

  • Sound Bath 11:00 - 11:45

Alongside the scheduled sessions, attendees are welcome to enjoy self-guided activities such as mindful colouring, pebble painting, journaling, or Lego play providing gentle opportunities for creativity, reflection and relaxation.

Supporting Industry Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Hub curated activities are being delivered on a not for profit basis by volunteers and practitioners who are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of people working within the games industry.

Any proceeds generated through attendance passes will be used to cover operational costs and support the charitable work of our partner organisations:

Safe In Our World – the video games industry's mental health charity, working to foster wellbeing, raise awareness and provide resources that support mental health across the games community.

SpecialEffect – an award-winning charity that uses technology to help people with physical disabilities play video games, bringing fun, inclusion and improved quality of life through innovative accessibility solutions.

Women in Games – a not for profit organisation dedicated to achieving full equity, diversity and belonging for women in the games industry through education, community and advocacy.

By attending the Wellbeing Hub, you are helping support organisations that are making a meaningful difference to the lives of people both within and beyond the games industry.

About The Hosts:

Sarah Brewster is Managing Director and Founder of Fresh Seed a People & Culture Agency to the Creative Sector, delivering services of support, advice and training with a person centred focus. After years of working in Creative Agencies and Games her career lead her to Organisation Design, Development and Psychology and it is this knowledge and experience she brings to Fresh Seed to enable studios to create a holistic workplace getting the best from employees to foster great employer brands.

Silvana Greenfield is a Holistic Health and Wellness, Trauma Informed Coach with a deep-rooted passion for whole-person wellbeing, intentional and intuitive living. With a career that began in the computer games industry, she understands firsthand the fast paced, high pressure nature of creative environments. Her journey into wellness was born from personal transformation and a desire to help others reconnect with themselves amidst the noise. Through compassionate coaching she helps others to cultivate balance and self awareness, fostering healthier lives and a deeper sense of joy and purpose.
