Prof. Edwin Koh (Professor, SUTD) will share on "AI-powered Design Innovation: Opportunities and challenges"
Design innovation was once a specialized field shaped by years of formal training, but AI is rapidly redefining creativity and how products and services are designed. Explore how AI can change the way we approach design, showcasing real-world applications in design innovation while highlighting the opportunities it unlocks and the challenges it presents.
The session will conclude with a panel discussion featuring practitioners designing AI-powered systems.

Speakers & Panel
Host: Song Qiaoqi (Design Lead, GovTech)
Qiaoqi is a service and product design lead at GovTech Singapore, where she leads the Design x AI programme — building a community that helps designers navigate AI tools, explore new workflows, and shape meaningful AI experiences. She also contributes to GovTech's Human-Centred AI initiative, working at the intersection of design, innovation and responsible AI. Previously, she was a design lead and community manager at Fjord/Accenture Song, where she honed her craft across service design and product innovation.
Speaker: Edwin Koh (Professor, SUTD)
Edwin Koh is Provost’s Chair Teaching Professor, Associate Head of Programme (Design and Artificial Intelligence), and Programme Director (Capstone) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He previously served as the founding Programme Director of the Master of Science in Design and Artificial Intelligence for Enterprise at SUTD. Edwin has held academic and visiting appointments at the National University of Singapore, New York University, and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). His research focuses on design methodology, with publications in leading journals such as Research in Engineering Design and Design Studies. He received his B.Eng. and S.M. from Nanyang Technological University and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Design from the University of Cambridge.
Speaker: Victoria Neoh (Designer, GovTech)
Victoria Neoh is a UX designer working across AI developer platforms, LLM-powered applications, and AI safety and governance systems. She has designed products spanning speech-to-text, retrieval-augmented generation, and developer portals offering pre-packaged AI APIs and foundational models. Her work focuses on translating complex AI capabilities into usable, trustworthy experiences.
Speaker: Tasha Yip (Designer, GovTech)
Tasha is an end-to-end product designer who has designed experiences across education, tourism, and social services. Her latest obsession is building 0→1 AI-powered experiences that deliver real value and feel simple to use.
